Apple iPhone 7 Features

This fall, we will be welcoming a brand new iPhone into the world; the iPhone 7. This popular phone hadn’t even been out yet and had already sold out in many places. Let’s take a look at some of the popular new features as well as their new headphones.

iPhone 7 and 7 Plus

Just like the iPhone 6, you can choose between the normal sized iPhone 7 (4.7 inches) or the 7 plus (5.5 inches). The differences between the two besides just the size is that the 7 Plus has dual rear facing cameras that can take pictures simultaneously and stitch them together, making unique photos.

Durability

The new iPhone 7 has increased durability. Both the 7 and the 7 plus are finally water resistant and dust resistant. So you can feel free to get these things a bit wet and not have to worry a whole lot about whether your phone is going to die because it got wet. This means you can actually take them underwater for about 30 minutes without your phone suffering any ill-effects.

No Headphone Jack

One of the biggest gripes that I have heard about the new iPhone is that it has no headphone jack. Apple is using their own headphones and it will be getting rid of the 3.5 jack altogether. If you want to use your old headphones, then you’ll have to rely on a lightning converter. But, not to worry, Apple has actually included some headphones and a converter within the box.

More Power

This is the most powerful iPhone yet, with more processing power. It comes with the A10 fusion which is a 64-bit quad core processor. It is more than 45% faster than its predecessor.

Camera

Like I said back in the first section, there will be dual cameras on the rear. But this feature is only available on the plus. If you are interested in the rest of the camera, let’s take a look. It is a 12-megapixel camera which finally features optical image stabilization for both the 7 and the plus (previously only on 6 plus), a 28mm wide-angle lens with a f/1.8 aperture, and a very high speed sensor. And the iPhone finally supports the RAW image format which is great for professional photographers.

The front facing camera is not a 7-megapixel camera and now features automatic image stabilization.

Price and Availability

You better hurry now and get your iPhone, it has already sold out in many places, so the availability is limited. The iPhone 7 will start at $649 for 32GB (16GB no longer available). You will be able to choose between 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB. The 7 Plus starts at $769 and is available with the same storage options.

These are some of the main features of the iPhone 7 and the 7 Plus. There are many major upgrades and it will get even better with the release of iOS 10 later this month.
